Grant Compliance & Program Governance

Fiduciary Planners provides grant compliance and program governance services to organizations receiving local, state, and federal funding.

These services are designed to help ensure that funds are used in accordance with program requirements through structured oversight, governance, and reporting support. Our role is to provide an independent layer of accountability, helping organizations maintain compliance, transparency, and audit readiness throughout the lifecycle of a grant.

Scope of services 

The Scope of Services is determined by the specific requirements of each grant and may include, but is not limited to:

 Review and validation of expenditures for alignment with grant requirements 

• Establishment and oversight of internal compliance processes and control frameworks 
• Development and monitoring of grant-specific budgets and allowable cost structures 
• Coordination of required reporting, documentation, and submission timelines 
• Assistance with audit preparation, audit response, and supporting documentation 
• Ongoing monitoring of program activity to support compliance and program integrity 
• Review of vendor payments and expense categorization for grant eligibility 
• Documentation of compliance procedures to support regulatory and audit standards 
• Coordination with third-party professionals, including CPA firms, bookkeepers, and fiscal sponsors 
• Identification and escalation of compliance risks, deficiencies, or irregularities 
• Support in maintaining adherence to applicable federal, state, or local grant requirements 
• Oversight of reporting cadence and deliverable timelines associated with grant obligations

Fiduciary Planners provides oversight and guidance within a defined governance framework but does not take custody of grant funds or execute financial transactions. All financial activity, including fund custody and disbursement, is maintained by the organization or an independent third-party provider, such as a CPA firm or fiscal sponsor.

These services are administrative and consulting in nature and are separate from the firm’s investment advisory services.
